The European Commission is launching the second European Digital Skills Awards. Companies and other organizations are invited to submit projects they have implemented to improve digital skills in Europe for the awards. The best 4 projects designed at improving the digital skills of citizens, the labour force, ICT professional and in education will receive an award. A fifth award will go to the best project which also address the needs of women and girls. More information can be found here . The application form . -

The bi-annual event “Computer Days 2017” (“Kompiuterininkų dienos 2017”), organized by Lithuanian Computer Society (LIKS) took place on 21-22 September at Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University. One of the key partners of the event this year was the National Digital Coalition. IT news in Lithuania and Europe were presented at the plenary session of conference. The Lithuanian Computer Society (Lietuvos kompiuterininkų sąjunga) is happy to invite you to participate in a biennial multi-event Computer Days – 2017 (Kompiuterininkų dienos – 2017) to be held on September 21–22, 2017 at the Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University , Lithuania. The main objective of the “Computer Days – 2017” is to provide a forum for presentation, discussion and dissemination of research, technological and educational accomplishments in the field of Information Society Technologies. The multi-event traditionally brings together computer scientists, engineers, educationalists, teachers and students, managers, SME personnel and managers, public sector representatives and
